Candida Rabbia

Candida Rabbia was born in 1952 in Villanova Solaro (CN) and lives and works in Cuneo. She is a painter who for many years taught art and art history in middle and high schools. Her watercolors find the source of their inspiration in nature, often in flowers, and so do her poems, characterized by a marked visual quality. Candida Rabbia writes both poetry and prose in Piedmontese. Her most recent books are Badeuj (2018) and Sij pass bërgé (2019), collections of poems and short stories respectively.

In one hand
white
a beautiful goose egg,

tender yellows
primroses.

Sweet omelette
Spring breeze
