Carlo Dardanello
Carlo Dardanello was born in Turin in 1957 and lives near Vicoforte. He has a degree in law from the University of Turin and has for many years studied the ethnic and linguistic traditions of Piedmont. Together with Remigio Bertolino he edited Nen viré ël chèr ëndré (Going Forward) (1982), an anthology of poets from the area of Mondovì. His poems appeared in publications such as Armanach dj Brandé, Musicalbrandé, Piemontèis Ancheuj, ‘l Caval ‘d bronz, Fervaje, Resine, Coumboscuro, Cuneo, Provincia Granda. He published two volumes of poetry Ël Sapel D’Artaban (The Path of Artaban) (1993) and Le poisìe dla cantaran-a (The Poems of the Rattle) (2018). Dardanello is also a musician and has recently set to music the Medieval Sermones Subalpini (late XII century).
