Marita Bellino

Marita Bellino was born in Mondovì in 1958 and lives in Vicoforte. She taught in an elementary school until her retirement. She started publishing her work in 1976 and most of her poems appeared in small local journals and collaborative publications. She is included in the anthology I poeti di Mondovì (1991), edited by Giovanni Tesio and Remigio Bertolino. Sucre brusà (Caramelized Sugar) (2004) collects most of her poems, characterized by a gentle melancholy and a tenderness that embraces both the self and the world around it.
