Dario Pasero

Dario Pasero (1952) was born in Turin, where he grew up and studied. Trained as a classical philologist, he is also a renowned scholar of Piedmontese literature. Pasero taught for many years in a classical high school in Ivrea and has been on the forefront in the promotion of Piedmontese culture. His learned poetry often incorporates Latin, Greek, and Hebrew words. Inspired by Piedmontese traditions and a considerable erudition, his poems are also moved by his religious faith. Among his books are An sla crësta dl’ombra (On the Tip of Shadow) (2002), Masche Tropié Bërgamin-e e Spa (Ghosts Herds Parchments and Swords) (2006). Tèit Canaveuj (Hemp Hamlet) (2014) Ubach e Adrèit (In the Shade and in Sunlight) (2016).
